I, Emperor of Toanusia will forcefully and formally declare independence from the mother land of "PippinMania". I feel that to be a dictator ruled under another being would contradict the meaning of a dictatorship. We, the people of Toanusia, will no longer stand for homework or in fact anymore work given to us from the nation of PippinMania.
From now on, Toanusia is a free and independent nation. It will control the powers to levy taxes, control the military, imports and exports, and all the land that it will conquer.

Essay #3
Our national animal, [1]the walrus, is very important to the country of Toanusia. The [2]definition of a walrus is a large marine mammal, Odobenus nosmarus, of arctic seas, related to the seals, and having flippers, a pair of large tusks, and a tough, wrinkled skin. The walrus is a symbol of [3]courage and quickness. Walruses are the idols of all the citizens in Toanusia simply because they are so much alike the citizen.
The walrus can be found throughout [4]Toanusia’s tropical weather. They tend to roam around the dense jungles surrounding the capitol of Topia. This is their favorite habitat for the many oases and clams that can found within. People may think that the fact that the walrus is thick in circumference would hinder its ability to maneuver within a jungle but that can be proven otherwise. The [5]walrus could actually run as quickly as a grown man on land since unlike their brethren, the seals, they can run or shall I say waddle on all four legs. Underwater in the oases, the walrus is a speed demon. They swim elegantly to catch all the zooming [6]clams. This is a quintessence of the walrus’ speed and agility.
The [7]walrus is a very social animal. They are usually found in herds much like the citizens of Toanusia. They will never be outside alone. The walrus however segregate into different herds based upon gender, something that the citizens do not do. There is also a social ladder with the walruses. This applies to both citizens and the walrus, the bigger you are and the more impressive your clothes/tusks are the higher you are in the community. In a bout, the walrus will use its tusks to show dominance. Humans though will flare out with their clothes and have a show off. To find other members of the species, the walrus creates a bell-like sound and other vocals. The human citizens in Toanusia however create the “weber call” which sounds like this “Wooohoohooohooo” which kind of sounds like an Indian call.
The [8]diet of a walrus consists mainly of mollusks (mussels, clams, etc.), crustaceans (crabs, shrimp, lobsters, etc.), and soft bodied animals (chicken). Coincidentally, the citizens of Toanusia also eat these items. The adult walrus also eats 3% to 6% of their body weight in food a day which is the same as the humans (60lbs-120lbs for the walrus, 5.4lbs-10.8lbs for humans). 3,000 to 6,000 clams are eaten in a sitting for walruses and humans can eat an astonishing 1,000 to 2,000 fried chicken wings in a sitting.
There are many [9]enemies for the walrus and human. The walrus is hunted by killer whales and sometimes polar bears. The delicate human is hunted by the mighty chicken, they use methods of killing it such as deep frying it in a pot to subdue it.
The Walrus can live for 16 to 40 years depending on the conditions of the habitat. The warmer it is and the more food available allows the walrus to maximize its life. Humans are able to live up to 94 years of age. They usually reach this age limit by the daily consumption of fried chicken and the excellent health care provided by the country.

Essay #2
[1]Rebellion- open, organized, and armed resistance to one's government or ruler.
Rebellions occur when citizens within a country feel that they are treated unfairly. It is also when the citizens feel as though they have no voice within the country that they are living in and have to take matters into their own hands. Rebellions are usually violent such as the rebellion in [2]Haiti in which thousands of refugees have fled from. Other rebellions are in the form a protest which usually has large amount of people in it such as the protest for African-Americans with [3]Dr. Martin Luther King or with the [4]Chinese protest over the last few years who are complaining about mismanagement and corruption.
Many countries have different ways in which to overcome these rebellions. Some are non-violent while other countries crush the rebellions by force.
[5] For example during the American Civil Rights Movement of 1954 to 1968, the U.S. would convict people to jail to try to end most rebellions. The rebellion was during the time of racial turmoil. Blacks in the country were mistreated and would not put up with it anymore. They would boycott, do sit-ins, etc. to get to current government know that they will not sit still and let this happen to them. One of the most famous events was when [6]Rosa Parks would not give up her seat for a white passenger on a bus. She was then arrested for disorderly conduct and was sent to jail. During this time, many blacks were imprisoned during these protests.
That however was the seemingly non-violent and democratic way of ending a rebellion (except for the [7]Riot of Detroit and Newark in 1967 where 43 people were killed).
The ways in which dictatorships or even communism deals with a rebellion are usually extremely violent.
One of the biggest rebellions was during the [8]Vietnam War. The war started because many people in Vietnam wanted independence from France. At the Treaty of Versailles, Ho Chi Minh, requested that Vietnam be independent but his request was rejected. This would then lead to a rebellion by the [9]Vietcong which would ultimately create the Vietnam War in which millions of lives were claimed. Unlike other rebellions though, the rebels won in this case and made Vietnam a Communist country.
A dictator now however, deals with the situation even more violently. When rebellions arise, dictators will either kill the people outright or do cruelly torment all the participants in the protest. [10]Vlad Dracul earned the nickname of “Vlad the Impaler” where he would invite the “bums” of his town for an extravagant feast and when they are done, he would lock them inside and burn the building down. The more vicious thing that he would do is to kill anyone that opposed him by impalement of a sharpened rod. The person would still be alive during impalement and would die as they slid down on the pole. Other more recent events would be when the Chinese government would shoot any protesters on the spot. The most famous one was where college students would stand protesting outside of the political house and they would be shot down right there on the spot by armed policemen.

Essay #1
[1]Dictatorship: a country, government, or the form of government in which absolute power is exercised by a dictator.
[2]Dictator: a person exercising absolute power, esp. a ruler who has absolute, unrestricted control in a government without hereditary succession.
Dictators almost always come into power during the needs of an emergency. After being elected, they would then rule with an iron fist, letting no emotions barricade them from their goals. Also after gaining the position of power would the dictator’s true motives be shown since now there is no one else capable of overthrowing them once they have assented to that power.
[3]Roman and ancient dictators usually came into power by being elected by a consul during times of a crisis. [4]Although then they only had a limit of 6 months to rule, Lucius Cornelius Sulla and Julius Caesar had abolished those rules and ruled to their content. Only after Caesar’s murder did the Romans finally abolish dictatorship.
[5]Modern dictators such as the infamous Hitler would come into power by the use of propaganda. During the hard times of 1920s and 1930s in Germany, Hitler grew from being an overlooked person of power to being the leader of the biggest and strongest political party in Germany. During election times, Hitler tried the “politician’s” way of getting into power, by the use of propaganda, speeches, etc. He later began using his own force, aka The Nazis, in exterminating his enemy parties. Even with this disorder, Hitler still failed to win the elections of 1933. A little while after the elections, Hitler proposed the Enabling Bill which would grant himself the powers of a dictator. The bill was passed when Hitler offered a deal to the Catholic Centre Party; vote for the bill and the rights of the Catholic Church would be guaranteed. Hitler finally became the dictator of Germany. This is when Hitler’s true motives were shown. He had been longing for the chance of creating genocide of the Jewish and non-Aryan community. He almost succeeded in his attempt killing off more then 10 million Jews of the world. Hitler then died from suicide rather then surrendering when he had lost the World War to the Ally Powers.
[6]Another powerful dictator of the time and one that had deeply influenced Hitler was Benito Mussolini. His achievements in being able to conquer other countries in Africa and such caused the spark of interest in Hitler when he came into power. Mussolini and Hitler then formed a full defensive alliance ([7]The Pact of Steel). He and Hitler then fought together in World War II but was then defeated.
[8]An unknown dictator of sorts to most of the world is the infamous Saloth Sar or better known as Pol Pot was the ruler of the Khmer Rouge and the Prime Minister was able to kill off a third of the population of Cambodia (Democratic Kampuchea during his rule). This massive genocide was supposed to be a means extermination of intellectuals and other "bourgeois enemies", so that the people of Cambodia could take a step forward.
His regime was decimated once he went into war with Vietnam in 1979. As an account from a witness of the war:
[9]“Friends of mine would go off into the war and come back with stories of how disheveled Kampuchea would be and about the toture camps. Of how the people in the country who were informed were deathly afraid of their own government. The amount of violence in the country was unbearable. There would be giant holes in the ground where live burials would take place. Anybody that was not liked by Pol Pot would be beheaded. They taught the children to be loyal to Pol Pot, otherwise their whole family would be killed. Children at the age of 11-13 would be drafted into the military.”

Constitution
Toanusia is ran under the followings of dictatorship.
I the ruler, will see to it that all of my people will get the best education Toanusia has to offer. We shall protect our citizens from all attacks and also supply the people with medical aid if they can afford it. Once we establish a stable economy, we are to amass an army with state-of-the-art technology and journey on a quest to conquer others.
I have total power except for a specially selected group (NATO) which will be able to enforce the laws, but are not allowed to select punishments or the judgment for crimes, that job lies with me. The regular citizens however have no powers what so ever. I and NATO will get all freedoms while the citizens will get the basic human freedoms.
Laws:
1. Any betrayals to the Emperor of nation will result in a year-long torture which ends in a violent, public death.
2. Any use of tobacco products will result in imprisonment.
3. ALL children are to follow and carry through with any instructions given by their guardians.
4. Abandonment of child results in impalement by a wooden spear done in the town center.
5. Infidelity will also result in impalement from all of the people that were involved in the event.
